The Women’s Center is a nonprofit counseling center serving the greater Washington, DC metro area, with offices in Vienna, Virginia and Washington, DC. Despite our name, we provide affordable mental health counseling to everyone, including women, men, teens, children, and families.
Our services include individual, couples, and family therapy; counseling for teens and young adults; support and therapy groups; domestic violence and sexual assault services; career counseling; and mediation and referral support. We accept most insurance and offer a sliding-scale reduced fee if you don’t have coverage, so cost is not a barrier to care. How Much Does Counseling Cost?
The Women’s Center offers reduced-fee and sliding-scale counseling so that cost is never a barrier to care. For clients paying out of pocket, reduced-fee sessions range from $5 to $61 per session. Your fee is determined during the intake process, and staff work with every client to find the most affordable option.
Do You Accept Insurance?
Yes. The Women’s Center accepts all major insurance carriers, including Medicare and Medicaid. Bring your insurance information when you schedule your appointment, and staff will help verify your coverage. The Center can also provide receipts and billing statements for out-of-network reimbursement claims.
Do You Offer In-Person and Telehealth Appointments?
Yes. You can meet with your therapist in person at the Vienna, VA or Washington, DC office, or through secure telehealth video appointments. Evening appointments are available at both locations, and Saturday appointments are available at the Vienna office.
