Whether it’s our back aching or a more serious medical condition, understanding how our bodies process and experience both stress and pain can help us manage the physical challenges in our lives. In this webinar, mind/body exercises and strategies to quiet and balance the nervous system will be introduced. Drawing from the model of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), skills and tools that allow us to manage difficult thoughts and feelings that often accompany health challenges will also be shared. ACT also provides a way to explore meaning and purpose in our lives that is broad enough to encompass our inevitable challenges.
