Training the Next Generation of Compassionate Therapists
Introducing Our New Resident & Supervisee Program
We’re thrilled to launch a new chapter at The Women’s Center: our Resident & Supervisee Program—a thoughtfully designed initiative modeled after our highly successful student training program.
In this brief video, Eileen Farias, Director of Clinical Training & Education, tells us more about the program’s vision and purpose.
At The Women’s Center, client care is at the core of everything we do. This new program not only helps us expand access to high-quality mental health services in our community—it also allows us to invest directly in the next generation of behavioral health professionals.
Designed for graduate-level therapists working toward licensure as LPCs, LCSWs, or LMFTs, the program offers a strong foundation for them to grow into skilled, compassionate clinicians.
We are deeply grateful to the Virginia Health Care Foundation for their generous grant, which made it possible for us to launch the resident/supervisee program.
We are continuing to hire residents on a rolling basis. If you or someone you know may be interested, we’d love to hear from you! Please email Eileen at efarias@thewomenscenter.org to learn more.
