Mindful Life: Mindfulness Tools for Well-Being and Resilience

April 5, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm

Living under the strain of COVID-19’s myriad disruptions has taken a heavy toll. Stress, anxiety, uncertainty, and remote working conditions have impacted our sense of wellness and compromised our ability to keep our attention on what matters most. The good news is that practical mindfulness-based tools have been shown to reduce stress, increase focus, and strengthen resilience.

In this 30-minute webinar Martha will:

— Provide a brief overview of mindfulness and the neuroscience behind it.
— Lead a guided practice to experience mindfulness meditation
— Provide micro-practices that support mindfulness and resilience in daily life

Martha Brettschneider founded Damselwings, LLC, to inspire and support mindful living through her work as a mindfulness teacher, author, speaker, and award-winning nature photographer. Formerly an international economist, Martha stumbled upon mindfulness teachings while recovering from breast cancer in 2009; her book Blooming into Mindfulness chronicles her journey. Martha is a Certified Teacher of the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute curriculum, a mindfulness-based emotional intelligence training program grounded in neuroscience. In addition to SIY programs and customized workshops, Martha’s signature morning meditation virtual programs help busy people establish and sustain their own meditation habits.
