SUMMARY:Anger Management for Women Series
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Jasmine Pike\nThe Women’s Center Therapist \nThere are many emotions that contribute to our daily life. Sometimes we handle life with ease and sometimes we become angry during stressful situations. \nIf managed inappropriately\, anger is likely to negatively affect our physical and mental health. Repressed anger can disrupt relations\, affect thinking and behavior patterns\, and create a variety of physical problems\, such as high blood pressure\, heart problems\, headaches\, skin disorders\, arthritis\, and digestive issues. \nChanneled carefully\, anger can help you achieve your goals. Misuse it and it will create difficulties that will keep you from becoming the kind of person you would like to be. \nIf you feel stuck\, come learn the patterns and triggers of your own anger\, and ways to express anger appropriately and constructively.

SUMMARY:2019 Leadership Conference
DESCRIPTION:“IT STARTS WITH US” \n\nThis year’s Conference theme – “It Starts with Us” – is significantly poignant today locally\, nationally and globally. It is vital that we assess our compassionate and civic strengths\, honing them for the betterment of workplaces and our community.   A respectful culture and equity in all aspects of life require each of us to look inside and reach for a better world. Currently\, society is not allowing space for human error; we have lost the ability to give people the benefit of doubt\, to understand differences and more significantly\, we have lost the ability to disagree humanely. The 33rd Conference will evaluate the attributes that can work to combat discord; re-instating thoughtfulness\, respect\, and compassion in our intentions and daily interactions. Main-stage discussions\, the Leadership Forum and several of the concurrent breakout sessions will address how our leadership can make a difference at this critical time.
