DESCRIPTION:Are you looking to reenter the workforce and not sure where to start? Has it been years since you set up a job search\, drafted a resume or cover letter\, or had a list of references ready to provide a potential employer? This workshop is focused on redeveloping your skills around these topics as you prepare to start a new job search after a hiatus\, enter a new field\, or start preparing to look for a new role. The session will feature a presentation style format with Megan providing an overview of each of the topics\, followed by time to ask questions\, discuss topics and connect with fellow job seekers. \nAgenda: \n\nWelcome/Overview\nBeginning a new search – identifying strengths\, passions\, areas of interest Identifying fields that appeal to you\nBuilding off your skill set\nDesigning a search that works for who you are NOW\nDeveloping a referral list\nQ&A + Other Questions for Input or Discussion\n\nAbout the Presenter \nMegan Sanko is a marketing professional with 10 years of experience with associations and nonprofits\, focusing on the development and implementation of communications and marketing plans for events\, campaigns\, and company initiatives. She is a Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) through the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) Pro + American Marketing Association (AMA) course and a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) through GMU’s Continuing Education program with a focus on career counseling and life coaching. \nMegan’s career development approach focuses on working with those who are new graduates/new to the workforce\, clients interested in reentering the workforce or entering a new field\, developing resumes and cover letters\, and building referral lists.
