Join us for an informative seminar where we’ll discuss: \n• Education funding options: borrowing versus saving \n• Tax-advantaged education planning solutions \nPresented by Michael Reyes CRPC and Catherine Portner \nCatherine “Cat” Portner is on a mission to ensure that women and girls invest in themselves\, their futures and communities. She transforms financial fears into hope and ultimately\, joy by delivering holistic strategies with sincere personal attention. She previously owned Portner Brewhouse\, a brewery restaurant\, inspired by her great-great grandfather’s pre-Prohibition brewery\, both located in Alexandria\, VA. In 2016\, the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce named Catherine a 40 Under 40 business leader. She holds a MBA from Babson College in Wellesley\, MA and B.S. in Biology from Boston College. Catherine strives to make time for practicing tai chi\, travel and spending time with her 18 month old daughter\, Josephine\, and fantastic partner\, Keiron in Reston\, VA. \nMichael measures success by the relationships he has with clients and the outcomes they enjoy. His mission is to put their wealth to work\, minds at ease and goals within reach. He is celebrating 25 years in financial services. Michael was born in Washington DC and grew up in the Northern Virginia area. He is a former resident and owner in Colonial Village in Arlington.
