“IT STARTS WITH US”
This year’s Conference theme – “It Starts with Us” – is significantly poignant today locally, nationally and globally. It is vital that we assess our compassionate and civic strengths, honing them for the betterment of workplaces and our community. A respectful culture and equity in all aspects of life require each of us to look inside and reach for a better world. Currently, society is not allowing space for human error; we have lost the ability to give people the benefit of doubt, to understand differences and more significantly, we have lost the ability to disagree humanely. The 33rd Conference will evaluate the attributes that can work to combat discord; re-instating thoughtfulness, respect, and compassion in our intentions and daily interactions. Main-stage discussions, the Leadership Forum and several of the concurrent breakout sessions will address how our leadership can make a difference at this critical time.
