A Note of Gratitude from Our CEO

“Improving the mental health and well-being of a community is not a sprint; it’s a marathon. Your generosity keeps us moving forward.”

As I reflect on the accomplishments and progress The Women’s Center, our staff, therapists, volunteers, and most importantly, our clients have made this year – I am inspired and encouraged to forge ahead.

A new year endures as a chance to start fresh. Can we do more to effect change in the world? How can we find ways to instill restoration and recuperation into our daily lives? Can we make peace with whatever “normal” may look like? The answer is, with some deep reflection and commitment, yes. The onset of 2023 represents an opportunity to make it a year that brings us closer to the peace we all seek.

I am beyond grateful to the donors and supporters of The Women’s Center! We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you. The mission of improving the mental health and well-being of our community is not a sprint; it’s a marathon. Your generosity keeps us moving forward.

Mental health experts believe 2023 will bring a sharper focus on young people, broader adoption of mental health programs in the workplace, better treatment awareness, and lesser stigma around conditions that so many struggle with alone. This is encouraging and proves The Women’s Center has been on the right track.

So far this year, we have expanded adolescent mental health services. We broke the Annual Gala fundraising record. We also proactively tightened our cybersecurity to ensure our clients’ and The Center’s data is protected. I can’t wait to share our Annual Impact Report in a few months to showcase and celebrate everything we achieved in 2022 by standing together.

The next year will be busy at The Women’s Center. We will be moving to a new location, are planning to hire many new therapists, and expand services to ensure we can meet the needs of our community.

There are several ways one can get involved with The Women’s Center: through donations, volunteering, or simply by becoming an active member of our community by signing up for our newsletters and following us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Thank you for your support of the Women’s Center. May 2023 bring you good health and good fortune.
