The Year of Solidarity, Support and Impact
You are helping change lives, but there’s still much to be done
Giving Tuesday started with a simple idea: Everyone has something to give and every act of generosity counts. Giving Tuesday has grown to represent more than simply the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
Like most non-profits, the Women’s Center usually receives the majority of donations during the last three months of the year. Thanks to generous donors and volunteers such as you, The Women’s Center has already been able to make a real difference in our community this year. But, as you can imagine, 2021 has been challenging for many in our community. For example, The Center has experienced a 21% increase in demand for teen mental health counseling and a staggering 40% increase in the domestic violence counseling need.
We want to make sure that we finish this year strong so we can continue supporting community members in need and reach further, including expanding the critical adolescent mental health services. To better serve our community, we have hired new therapists, added more sessions, and resumed in-person services. It has been a remarkable year, but there’s still a lot to be done…
This is why we need YOU. We know that there are many options when it comes to charitable giving, but hope you can support our mission by donating or volunteering. No act or amount is too little. It only takes $80 to fully fund an hour of mental health therapy.
Your donations at work
Your donation can make an immense difference in the lives of women, men, and adolescents struggling with emotional and family issues.
In all of these situations, affordable counseling became a lifeline. Your donations ensure no one is ever turned away from The Women’s Center due to an inability to pay.
Help us build a resilient community where everyone has a place to turn to during their darkest moments. Together, we can drive an enormous amount of positive change.
